Question
If the Holocaust did not happen, would Israel have been created?
It seems Israel was created by the League of Nations and the United States in response to the horrific events of WWII and I was just wondering if the state of Israel would have been created if WWII or the Holocaust never happened. What do you think?
Answer
I personally think that Israel as a state would not have been created if not for WWII and the Holocaust. There are two factors A lot of European Jews moved there as a result of the Holocaust and because they werent welcomed elsewhere. And the British, who controlled that part of the middle east, gave up its control of the area as a result of the war and of the influence of the United Nations not the League of Nations, which was formed as a result of the war.brbrWithout the war and the Holocaust, it might have happened eventually, but those two factors really pushed it.brbrBTW, Jesus was an Israelite. He was a Jew, and that is how they often referred to themselves in history. A resident of Israel is an Israeli.
